Biography
Studied chemistry and biology at the University of Dorpat (Estonia). In 1890 he settled in Warsaw and devoted himself to painting. He became friends with Władysław Podkowiński and Józef Pankiewicz, with whom he traveled to Italy in 1893. From 1907 he took up printmaking. He invented the techniques of ceratorite and graining. The subjects of his works were mainly views of architecture. Since 1897 he was a member of the Association of Polish Artists "Art".
