Witold Warzywoda - was born in 1956 in Lowicz, Poland. In 1976-1981
he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (now the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts) in Lodz at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting. He earned a diploma in graphic design from the Lithographic Techniques Studio of Prof. Jerzy Grabowski, an annex from the Woodcut Techniques Studio of Prof. Andrzej Bartczak and from the Drawing Studio of Prof. Leszek Rózga. Associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. He specializes in flat printing, and has been working mainly in color lithography for years. He is the author, editor and publisher (Studio WW Witold Warzywoda) of numerous artistic and literary publications. He has been curator of the Amcor Gallery in Lodz for 20 years. Warzywoda's prints are usually ironic commentaries on the author's impeccable composition, showing a full range of creative possibilities from still lifes to contemporary reinterpretations of works by great masters or quotations from the Bible.
