Studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, where he received his diploma in 1985. Immediately after graduation, he began teaching at his alma mater. For years he was associated with the studios of lithography, metal techniques and digital techniques, later taking up the position of professor of the Studio of Fundamentals of Artistic Graphics.
In his early years, he was primarily involved in lithography and graphic design. Since the mid-1990s, he has focused mainly on painting and drawing, developing a distinctive artistic language based on synthetic form, rhythm of composition and subtle relations of light and color. Since 2004, he has also been creating works in digital techniques.
The artist's oeuvre includes more than seventy solo exhibitions and participation in more than three hundred group exhibitions at home and abroad. His works can be found, among others, in the collections of the National Museum in Gdansk, the National Museum in Warsaw, the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz and the AIB Collection of Modern Irish Art in Dublin, as well as in numerous private and institutional collections.
