The "Toros Y Toreros" series, created in 1961, features drawings of bullfights by Pablo Picasso with text by bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin (translated from Spanish by Georges Franck) and an essay by art historian Georges Boudaille.
The title of the series "Toros Y Toreros" was handwritten by Picasso.
Picasso created the cover and illustrations using a series of three sketchbooks. The technique used a systematic use of ink with a brush. The drawings were printed at Mourlots Studio, a famous lithographic house that worked with Picasso as well as other artists such as Matisse and Chagall in Paris.
The series was published with the permission of Pablo Picasso in 1961, on the 80th anniversary of his birth."
