Kazimierz Mann (born on October 7, 1910 in Lviv, died on August 9, 1975 in Warsaw) - Polish artist, engaged in wall and easel painting, mosaics, applied and workshop graphics, posters and exhibition art.
Father of music journalist Wojciech Mann.
In 1936-1938 Kazimierz Mann was the head of the graphics atelier of the Polish Telegraphic Agency PAT. In 1937-1938, he did graphic design for the PAT's Polish Advertising Graphics Yearbook and the magazine of the League for the Promotion of Tourism Poland. Among his more important pre-war realizations is the design and execution in 1937 of a polychrome in the Gubałówka shelter (not preserved). He received a gold medal for his panneau design in 1939 at the World Exhibition in New York.
After the war, he worked in graphic design, and was the designer and author of artwork for exhibitions for:
-CIECH Foreign Trade Headquarters (Import and Export Chemicals Headquarters),
-Foreign Trade Headquarters Uniwersal,
-Cetebe Foreign Trade Enterprise,
-PAGED Foreign Trade Headquarters, organized in Vienna, Zagreb, Moscow, London, Stockholm, Paris, Budapest, Prague, Beijing, Izmir, Helsinki, among others.
Panneau projects:
-at the 1948 Poznań International Fair in the Shipbuilding Industry Pavilion and SPOŁEM
-at the Exhibition of Recovered Territories, Wroclaw
-in the solar energy room at the Museum of Technology in Moscow in 1970.
In 1965-1970 he designed and created polychromes in the halls of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum of Technology in Warsaw. In 1962-1969 he designed mosaics for the Jan, Radzionków, Michalowice and Metalworker's House in Muszyna mines. He also designed the artwork for railroad stations: Warszawa Gdańska, Kunowice, Terespol, Sandomierz,.
Since 1960 he was a member of a number of art committees, including:
-ART Artists Labor Cooperative,
-LUMEN Specialized Work Cooperative of Light and Neon Advertisements, which existed until 1973 in Warsaw,
-Foreign Exhibitions and Fairs Company,
-Industrial and Commercial Headquarters INCO, for which he also designed advertising materials and packaging for the popular cosmetics brand Celia.
Since 1963, he was the artistic director of the Industrial Forms and Packaging Design Studio of the Union of Disabled Cooperatives. In 1963, he was one of the participants in the Applied Art exhibition at the Central Bureau of Art Exhibitions in Warsaw (now the Zachęta National Art Gallery).
