Aleksander Olszewski, From the series The Books of Jacob, The Book of Comets, digital print, 70x70 cm, 2023, like all works by Aleksander Olszewski belongs to the minimalist trend of abstract art. "For the realization of my works I use the morpho method I invented," he says. "I work in cycles. I do not imitate reality, but interpret it. The form of the paintings results from the interpretation of abstract entities, and the works are reflections of thoughts and emotions that accompany organizational and artistic activities," says the artist. Alexander Olszewski's work also has a transcendent theme: "In thecreed Catholics hear: 'God created the world of visible and invisible things...'. For me, these invisible things are the beginning of abstraction. In these invisible things is contained, in my opinion, the world of science and art, which everyone in his own way discovers, analyzes, interprets. Let me quote here St. Augustine's favorite thought about beauty and truth, because truth, mathematics and beauty form a triad that is very important in practice. "In the inner man dwells truth," - St. Augustine writes. "If externality is a certain form in which interiority is clothed, then , while maintaining its proper validity, the form is subordinated to what is deeper and constitutes a certain content. It would be a tragedy of the form if it were to obscure the content, or prevent the content from revealing itself," according to St. Augustine. I subscribe to this statement," -says Alexander Olszewski, a work for lovers of minimal art and geometric abstraction. The prices of the author's works are steadily increasing, I encourage you to invest and buy. Very good condition, unframed. The gallery can realize the framing of the drawing at the order and expense of the buyer.
Aleksander Olszewski (1944), graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Lodz. He has worked since 1981 at Radom Technical University, where he taught in the Department of Art, of which he was the founder, since 2001 with the title of full professor. The artist's work is contained in the purist geometric abstraction called "concrete art". The surface of canvas, board, paper is covered with a balanced composition of lines and the areas of color they delineate, usually in black to white and shades of gray, but also in pastel colors. Inspiration comes both from visual analyses of structures and tensions between vectors of line and color and the plane, but also from views of nature and surrounding reality, such as the desert horizon, the course of highways. The artist has presented his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his works are in museum and private collections.
