Andrzej Wróblewski. They became friends, as the director mentions in "Everything for Sale" and several documentaries, among others. The work of painting and drawing, allows to fully understand the language of his films: images, scenes, and mood. He knew about his desire to be a great artist as a teenager. In 1947 he was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, but after three years he decided to become a film director, but he has been drawing all his life. When asked - why do you draw?", Wajda replied: "For two reasons. First, because what I draw is my property. It stays in my memory. By drawing I simultaneously become more aware of what moves my imagination. And in film or theater work, I use drawing because it is faster as a means of communicating with co-workers."
