Biography
Worked at the zinc smelter in Szopienice. He was a member of the Grupa Janowska. In his art he used the scenery of Szopienice and Lêtownia, where he often spent his vacations. The subjects of his works are mainly flowers, women, mountain landscapes, sleigh rides and trains. The painter's paintings are currently in museums including the Museum of the History of Katowice, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, the City Museum in Zabrze and the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom, as well as in numerous private collections. Lech Majewski filmed a feature-length story about the life and work of the Janowska Group entitled Angelus.
