Born in 1960 in Luban Slaski. He received a thorough art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Department of Graphic Arts in Katowice. In 1987 he received a diploma in the studio of Professor Tadeusz Grabowski, soon receiving an annex in the lithographic studio of Professor Tadeusz Gawron. He is known to a wide audience not only as a painter, but also as the director of the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Kolobrzeg, which has been active since 2002, giving viewers the opportunity to come into contact with the works of outstanding masters of ancient and contemporary painting. As an artist, he realizes himself most fully in oil easel painting. His varied oeuvre, in which numerous inspirations can be distinguished, is always characterized by extraordinary attention to his artistic technique. He has had more than a dozen solo and group exhibitions. The artist was ranked 81st in the ranking of the 300 most important artists from 1945 to the present day - Kompas Sztuki 2014 published in Rzeczpospolita 2015. In the second issue of the quarterly "Artist and Art" (2012) appeared an extensive discussion of the work of Dariusz Kaleta.
