Jerzy Zitzman (1918–1999) —painter, set designer, and theater and film director, primarily associated with Bielsko-Biała. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under the guidance of, among others, Władysław Jarocki, Fryderyk Pautsch, Karol Frycz, and Xawery Dunikowski. In 1947, he co-founded the “Banialuka” Puppet Theater, where he served as director for many years. At the same time, he pursued easel painting, exhibiting his works at national exhibitions; he also created set designs, puppet designs, and animated films.
