Dal Forno Romano is one of the most famous producers in Veneto. From here come complete, rich wines that stand out from other wines of the appellation for their intense spice bouquet. The estate is named after its founder, Romano dal Forno, and until 1983 they were engaged in selling grapes to cooperatives. In response to waning demand for such wines, they decided to focus on making their own wines. Romano was fortunate enough to get an apprenticeship with the famous Quintarelli and under his tutelage grew into one of the region's masters.
Valpolicella from Dal Forno is made from fruit dried for several weeks and surpasses in class other wines from this appellation, and even more than one Amarone. Full-bodied, juicy and intense, it is deep, but it remembers the name of the appellation from which it comes and retains a lot of freshness and lightness. You won't meet a better Valpolicella.
