Yquem 2017 is a powerful wine from a very rich and exceptional vintage. Right from the outset, it delivers thrilling purity and intensity spreading expressive aromas of fresh and dried apricots and peach pie, as well as crème brûlée, candied and fresh oranges, kumquat and bright fruit marmalade. On the palate, it is wonderfully smooth, with great structure, excellent acidity and brilliant flavors reminiscent of grilled oranges and dried apricots, leading to an exceptionally long, highly nuanced finish. This is a wine of superb quality; one of the best vintages since the legendary 2001. To drink from 2022-2042.
Serve with: Serve with lobster, foie gras, apple tart, cheesecake, cheeses - younger wines with brie or manchego, and older wines with roquefort or epoisses.
