Lupicaia has long confirmed its position among the most important producers of Supertoscans. With a history dating back to Etruscan times and an important moment in its development when Prince Poniatowski was the owner, Lupicaia is today an exciting source of top-notch wine.
The estate enjoys an excellent terroir, where a mix of suitable soils, climate and proximity to the Mediterranean creates fantastic conditions for viticulture.
The 2010 vintage is considered exceptional, characterized especially by its tremendous ripening potential. It started slowly and with a cool winter to transition smoothly into a hot summer and a long, quiet ripening of the grapes on the vines. Lupicaia 2010 is a full-bodied, concentrated, extremely complex wine, with aromas of forest fruits alongside dried herbs, spices and hints of barrel beautifully integrated into the wine. The body is smooth and soft, perfectly concealing a strong structure. At the perfect time to drink already.
