Lives and works in Koszalin. His artistic adventure with color leads him through a number of exhibitions at home and abroad. He has been hailed as a "poet of color" in Seoul, and the most prominent art magazines and journals have posted enthusiastic opinions and reviews ranking him among the world's outstanding abstractionists. Rapsa's exhibition at Jang Eun Sun Gallery as well as subsequent presentations in Seoul made him the best-known contemporary Polish painter in South Korea. He has received a number of awards and honors, including the Central Maritime Museum in Gdansk in the European Painting Competition "Colors of the Sea"; the Era -Art award at the 6th International Biennale of Painting and Unique Textile in Gdynia; the award of the Mayor of the City of Koszalin "Artist of the Year"; the Gran Prix of the Public, EXPO MILANO 2015 Hernandez Gallery, Milan. Krzysztof Rapsa's work was presented at the National Theater at the Sun & Moon Restaurant during the Global Cross Culture Exchange 2015 Poland - Korea in Seoul. His artistic journey through the galleries of the world has been ongoing for several years. In 2014, he presented his work at the Samsung Gallery and the Foret Gallery in Seoul; the Dageu Museum and the Mosan Museum; and the Qatar Fine Arts Society in Doha, Qatar. Christopher Rapsa's paintings presented at Saman Art Gallery in Rome inspired many Italian poets to write poems and to participate in the international project "Rhapsody". This is a project combining painting , poetry and music, where poets from different countries of the world inspired by the paintings of the Polish abstractionist wrote poems. And composers from Italy and Poland composed music to poetry inspired by the paintings of the Polish painter. The foreign premiere of the album titled "Rhapsody" took place on April 30, 2015 in Milan during Krzysztof Rapsa's solo exhibition opening EXPO MILANO 2015 at the Hernandez Gallery. His work was presented in the film "Fortunately there is art" made under the patronage of the National Museum in Gdansk. Krzysztof Rapsa's paintings have been used in film and television productions, including by Korean TV KBS or numerous publishing houses. He is the author of covers for literary publications. His works are in the collections of museums, contemporary art galleries and private collections at home and abroad.
