"The Chiffonnage series was created between 2007 and 2017 in various scenes. The painting that is formally closest - the one presented today - won the Grand Prix at the 4th International Biennale of Painting "Quadro Art" in Lodz, Poland, in 2014.
The series itself bears the hallmarks of both abstract and illusionist art, while referring to the issue - assemblage. The difference, however, is that instead of gathering random objects in a painting, the artist creates a painterly imitation of them, consciously guiding the narrative. In this case, it concerns crushed structures - hence also the title of the series." - Konrad Wieniawa
