A polychrome terracotta sculptural fragment depicting a male torso, characterized by an iconography that recalls classical statuary models. The work depicts the human body from the neck to the groin, with well-defined abdominal musculature and male anatomical features, though it also exhibits particularly pronounced pectoral features. The material exhibits a coarse, porous texture with a natural reddish color, enriched by traces of polychrome paint and mineral encrustations in grayish and greenish tones consistent with prolonged exposure to the elements. The sculpture is a headless torso, lacking arms and lower limbs. The piece is mounted on a plinth-style base made of rough-hewn stone. No signatures, manufacturer’s marks, or inscriptions have been found on the surface of the object.
70 x 30 cm.
